After reading the article, I know that I would feel more comfortable writing for digital media than other types of content. The first reason why I say this is because of sourcing. The article said, “online, authors are commonly allowed- and even expected- to exert their own authority.” Other types of content require a lot of professional quotes and sources, but digital media allows you to express your mind more.
Another reason why I prefer writing for digital media is because of pitching. For example, the article states that some editors require, “hours working on stories… before submitting a pitch”. However, digital media writers can submit multiple articles a week. You also get more freedom to use your own judgment to determine what article would be the best to write about. With other forms of media, it takes longer to write an idea than it does to actually execute it.
