Grantland Rice is a well known sports journalist. The only problem is that people don’t know if he’s well known in a positive or negative way. For me, I feel indifferent. I do not think that he “sucks”. I think he is very over exaggerated in his writing, which could be because he’s so passionate about it. He describes the Olympics as “the glory of the Grand Canyon or the peak of Mount Everest at dawn.” Unfortunately he has also said some kind of racist things. Overall, I don’t think he was a bad sports writer, just a little crazy.
