The most important sports journalism etiquette is being professional. You have to be able to keep control of yourself if you want to be a good journalist. Be respectful of the players and respectful of the other players in the press box. It is very hard, especially the not cheering part, but you have to do it if you want to be a sports journalist. I feel that aspect would be difficult at first for me and I might get a couple of looks, but eventually I would get used to it.
