I agree with the statement that America’s #1 priority is sports. One of the things the article talked about is “hero worship”. Athletes are more admired than any other profession in the world. There are certain athletes that mostly everyone in the country knows, even if they don’t follow sports. Kids from all generations grow up idolizing these people. When the children of this country are growing up admiring them, you can tell that this is the #1 subject in the US. If sports aren’t as popular at a certain time of year, then politics definitely takes over, but when the time of year comes around, there is nothing more talked about than sports.
