Professional sports leagues should absolutely be able to force owners out for their behavior. Owners might own their own team, but they have to report to someone as well, and the league as a whole is higher than one team. Not only are they putting a bad mark on the team, but the entire league as well.
Commanders owner Dan Snyder caused the organization to be “‘highly unprofessional’, especially for women”, according to AP News. The article revealed that there was little attention paid to things like sexual harassment. You can’t just be allowed to do whatever you want just because you hold a high position of power. There’s always someone above you, and leagues have every right to force owners out that make their league look bad.
